October Education Night: October 4, 2016 in the Auditorium of the North Bay Public Library

You are invited to share in a Free Evening of Education with the Heritage Gardeners.

On Tuesday, October 4, 2016 our topic is “Weeds!’ with Master Gardener Ann Dockendorff.

Sixteen years ago, Anne Dockendorff and her husband David left their jobs in Ottawa to take over Silver Rapids Farm, the Dockendorff family farm. Today they raise sheep, beef cattle, and run a market garden, selling vegetables at the Powassan Farmer’s Market Anne has been gardening for over 40 years and has a Diploma in Horticulture from Kemptville Agricultural College. She enjoys being part of the Master Gardeners of North Bay. Can a ‘city girl’ find contentment and satisfaction on a farm in Chisholm? You bet!

Coffee and tea will be available, please bring your own mug.

Participants must pre-register by noon by Monday October 4 by calling 705-472-4006 or emailing heritage.gardeners@heritagenorthbay.com
